My Story

I'm Corrie: a lifelong endurance athlete, mom of high level athletes, and someone who loves all sports and the outdoors. I live in Colorado, where exercise isn't just a hobby;  it's a way of life.

Both my sons competed at the elite level in sports and I couldn't find anyone to help them with their mindset. So, I taught myself and my boys about positive self talk, visualization, and building confidence. They were able to use these skills to achieve some very big performance goals in basketball, soccer (3 state champoinships between the two of them!) and hockey.

I saw how  "tough talk" backfired, negative attitudes ruined practices, and pressure could easily hijack a tryout or game.

When they were both old enough to drive themselves to practice, I dove into educating myself in  sports psychology!

With a Masters in Applied Sports Psychology I am now trained in offering mental performance skills to athletes, teams, coaches.

Working with motivated athletes all day long and sharing tools that allow them to perform under pressure while enjoying their sports is a dream come true! And yes, I still give my boys mental skills tips, but it is now all science backed and . They can attest to how powerful the mind is in achieving your goals.

Sports Psychology Consulting

My passion for psychology, mindfulness, and human behavior led me to the field of Sports and Performance Psychology. I trained for two years as a consultant, while I  pursued running, triathlons, weightlifting, mountain biking, swimming, yoga, pilates, and skiing on every type of ski made! I love moving and believe everyone is capable of achieving their highest performance when their goals and values are in alignment with their thoughts, self talk, and actions.

What I Believe

Sustainable performance excellence emerges when an athlete's values, thoughts, behaviors, and physiological states align with their authentic identity and purpose. Performance excellence is characterized by deep engagement and love for one's sport, a willingness to work, grow, and make meaningful sacrifices, and the intentional integration of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in service of performance goals.

 My Approach

Today, as a sport and performance psychology professional, I bring all of those identities with me: athlete, mother, student, and passionate entrepreneur. I help athletes and high performers discover the mental tools, emotional skills, and personal strengths that unlock not only better performance… but more enjoyment, more confidence, and more belief in your ability.

Performance is a privilege and the work we do together honors every part of the athlete and the person behind your goals.

What You nEed to know

I work with athletes and high performers who are motivated, curious, and willing to engage in the process, not just the outcome. Mental performance training is not about quick fixes or motivational hype. It is a skill-building process that supports focus, confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and alignment between who you are and how you perform.

WHO CAN THIS HELP?

I love working with youth athletes and athletes of all ages. Whether someone is just beginning their athletic journey, navigating competitive pressure, returning from injury, or striving for longevity in sport, my goal is to meet each athlete where they are and support sustainable growth.

My work is grounded in evidence-based sport and performance psychology frameworks, including cognitive-behavioral and psychophysiological approaches, mindfulness, self-compassion, and values-based performance. Sessions are practical, individualized, and designed to integrate into your existing training and daily life.

WHAT MAKES SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY CONSULTING UNIQUE:

This is not therapy, and it is not clinical treatment. Mental performance consulting focuses on performance, growth, and well-being within sport, work, and life contexts, and all approaches are scientifically and evidence-based. When appropriate, I collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other professionals to ensure the support you receive is aligned and comprehensive.

I believe the most meaningful performance shifts happen when athletes are understood as whole people, not just performers. Our work together respects your goals, your nervous system, your life outside of sport, and the season you are in.

If you are looking to build mental skills that support long-term performance, enjoyment, and confidence, you are in the right place.

My Foundational Philosophy

Performance excellence emerges when your values, thoughts, behaviors, and physiological states align with your authentic identity and purpose. I know how mental patterns, belief systems, and self-awareness directly impact both performance outcomes and personal fulfillment. Excellence requires more than physical talent- it demands psychological skills, intentional self-regulation, and alignment between your actions and deepest values. My approach integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with Body Awareness to help you understand how your mind works and create meaningful change in thought-emotion-behavior patterns.

I incorporate psychophysiological tools, particularly breathwork and somatic awareness, because they provide instant access to and feedback on your current mental, physical, and emotional state. These practices provide the foundation for cognitive work, especially under pressure. Self-compassion is central to everything I do, not as an optional add-on but as an essential condition for sustained excellence, recovery from setbacks, and maintaining the psychological flexibility needed to stay aligned with your goals even when facing inevitable challenges. Whether working with individual athletes or teams, I meet you where you are, developmentally, culturally, and motivationally, adapting interventions to match your readiness for change while maintaining rigorous ethical standards.

My commitment to the scientist-practitioner model means my work is grounded in current research while remaining responsive to your unique experiences, identities, and goals. Together, we'll build the awareness, skills, and self-compassion that allow you to perform at your best while maintaining well-being and staying true to who you are.
